Built to help the people who bring others together
haku was founded to solve a problem we saw firsthand: the people organizing races, fundraising campaigns, and community events were spending too much time fighting technology instead of focusing on their mission. They’re juggling disconnected systems, manual processes, and incomplete data, all while trying to create meaningful experiences that bring people together. We built haku to change that.
Why we exist
At its core, haku empowers endurance events and nonprofits to turn every participant and supporter interaction into a relationship that fuels growth. We eliminate the barriers created by fragmented tools, giving organizations one unified platform to simplify operations, grow revenue, and focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional experiences and advancing their missions.
What haku means
Our name comes from Quechua, the language spoken by cofounders Carlos and Jose’s grandmother in Peru. In Quechua, haku means "go do." It’s more than a name — it’s a call to action. It reflects our mission to help organizations take action, create impact, and move their communities forward.

Carlos is the founder and CEO of haku, where he’s focused on building technology that helps endurance events and nonprofit organizations plan, manage, and grow their impact. With a background in healthcare software and a passion for solving everyday problems, Carlos leads with a user-first mindset, a love for launching new ideas, and a commitment to building lasting customer loyalty by doing things the right way.
Jose Escobar
Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer
Jose is a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at haku, where he focuses on simplifying complex processes to deliver exceptional experiences for customers. A problem-solver at heart with a background in process innovation, Jose is always thinking ahead to keep operations running smoothly. As an endurance athlete, he saw the challenges of organizing events firsthand—an insight that inspired haku’s mission to help race organizers focus less on logistics and more on creating memorable community experiences.
Jackie Levi
Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer
Jackie is a co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at haku, where she combines strategic insight with a passion for helping endurance events and nonprofits grow their impact. With over 15 years of experience spanning endurance sports, healthcare, and fintech, she’s led teams and launched products that drive real results. At haku, Jackie focuses on equipping organizers with the tools and support they need to succeed and make a lasting difference.
